6:00pm – Registration/Check-in opens at the International Living Learning Center (ILLC) main lobby on the corner of. Feel free to stop by and pick up your items and get familiar with the unconference site.
7:00pm – We will provide light refreshments for a brief opening reception in the ILLC.
8:00pm – We will be traveling off-site to the Elk’s Lodge to enjoy karaoke and socialize in a less formal setting. We will be shuttling folks to and from the social site, but you are more than welcome to drive yourself. This social is optional and costs are not covered by the unconference. Saturday April 13, 2013
9:00am – Registration/Check-in opens at the ILLC main lobby. In addition to picking up your unconference packets, you can stop by Peet’s coffee or the Cascadia market for light refreshments.
10:00am – Welcome from Larry Roper, Vice Provost for Student Affairs at Oregon State University and the Keynote Introduction from Ann Marie Klotz, Associate Director for University Housing and Dining Services/Director of Residential Education.
10:15am – Keynote from Ed Cabellon, founder of the #SAtech unconference national series.
11:00am – Session #1
12:30pm – Break for Lunch at Arnold Dining Hall. Each unconference participant will receive a $10.00 meal card to cover the cost of lunch during the day of the unconference. After lunch but prior to session 2, we will be showing a brief video (similar to the Ted Talk series) on technology and its uses in the college setting.
1:30pm – Session #2
2:30pm – Video break, we will show two more videos on technology in the college setting
3:00pm – Session #3
3:45pm – We will have a closing panel on how technology can play into our individual and group wellbeing. The panel will have one person representing each area of Gallup’s Five Areas of Wellbeing (Social, Career, Community, Physical and Financial).
4:30pm – Closing of the Unconference and evaluations will be sent to your email at this time.
Meals during the Unconference: #SAtechOR will be providing lunch for unconference participants on Saturday, April 13. Dinner on Friday, April 12 and breakfast on Saturday, April 13 will be on your own. You will be provided a $10 meal card that will work at our on-campus dining locations (Arnold Dining Hall and Cascadia Market are the closest to the ILLC) for lunch.
Parking: Un-metered parking is free on campus during weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays (staff and student parking areas). Be aware of athletic event parking areas, as there is a home baseball game scheduled. Athletics will be charging to park in these areas. A large parking garage is located near ILLC, adjacent to Finley Hall and Arnold Dining Hall.
